      And the answer is c!

The first MACNA was held in Toronto, Canada on April 22, 1989. It was hosted by the Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto (MAST) and attended by marine aquarist from all over North America. The speakers were Helmut Debelius, Martine Moe, Albert Theil, Peter Rubec, Tom Frakes, Forrest Young, and George Smit. The conference was very successful and the practice of holding an annual MACNA, hosted by various marine aquarium societies from cities all over North America, was born.
